A gated community with 16 neighborhoods and a retirement community surrounds this famous golf course. Another gated community with 38 small neighborhoods surrounds the private golf course at Sawgrass Country Club.

Sawgrass Village Shopping Center has a great selection of restaurants, retailers, and local services. Anchored by CVS Pharmacy and Publix supermarket, other retailers include stylish womenswear boutique A’propos, family-owned wine and spirits store ABC Fine Wine and Spirits, sophisticated fashion brand Chico’s, European- style chocolate maker Peterbrooke Chocolatier, and custom jewelry designer Village Jeweler. Aqua Grill has been one of the finest restaurants in the Beaches area since 1988. The restaurant moved to a new location at Sawgrass Village in 2016, bringing their award-winning coastal cuisine to an elegant contemporary setting.
Seafood specialties such as Vidalia-crusted grouper, baked rainbow trout, pan-seared Atlantic swordfish, and blackened mahi-mahi with shrimp tacos are joined on the menu by grilled filet mignon and slow-braised boneless beef short ribs. Caffe Andiamo is a family-run restaurant bringing contemporary flair to classic Italian coastal cuisine prepared in a traditional wood-burning copper oven. Trasca & Co. also offers Italian-style eats. This casual favorite serves creative panini sandwiches and pizzas alongside authentic Italian espresso. Nona Blue Modern Tavern serves an eclectic and globally inspired menu of elevated bar eats and award-winning burgers alongside a drinks selection that includes 16 craft beers on draft.
TPC Sawgrass is the golfing capital of Northeastern Florida. This world-class golf destination features two exceptional courses alongside the headquarters of the PGA Tour. The Players Stadium Course was completed in 1982 and has hosted the prestigious Players Championship every year since. Golf Digest ranks The Players Stadium Course as the second-best golf course in Florida and the 48th best course in the United States. The challenging Dye’s Valley Course is ranked the 21st best course in Florida by Golfweek.
The Player Championship takes place on the Players Stadium Course in May. With a prize fund of $12.5 million in 2019, The Players has one of the largest purses in golf. The top 50 ranked golfers in the world typically participate in this PGA Tour tournament every year. Past winners include Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Jack Nicklaus. Known as the Island Green, the Players course’s 17th hole has been called the most famous golf hole. In 2001, Tiger Woods’ sensational performance on the 17th hole became legendary to golf fans as the “better than most” putt. Other facilities at TPC Sawgrass include basketball and volleyball courts, an aquatics center with several swimming pools, and tennis courts.
